It has been awhile since I participated in the Operation Write Home sketch challenge, but I took a little time for myself this Mother’s Day weekend to do a bit of quilting and crafting. This sketch was actually basic enough to make for a quick card creation, even with the spin on interpretation.
There’s no bling, just the basics on this one, but it still turned out pretty cute. I used Authentique’s Humble Bundle 6×6 pack for all the papers, added a stamped sentiment, inked the edges and added a line of stitching. I usually keep my paper sewing machine at the ready, so it’s easy to add an accent here or there.
Gorgeous interpretation of the sketch, I love the combination of papers you chose.
Thanks, Heather. I usually try to pick papers from the same pack, because they easily mix and match. Thanks for stopping by for a look!
Pretty cute? I’d say that’s a bit of an understatement. This card is so very pretty! Love your interpretation of that circular focal point — and your Spanish sentiment. Thanks so much for playing along with our sketch challenge. 🙂
Thanks, Sybrina, you are too kind. So glad you like the card. I thought the Spanish sentiment was a nice change; but yet, everyone still know what it means.
