Spreading a Little Warm Weather Cheer

Our beautiful warm weather inspired me today, along with the simple little Freshly Made Sketch, of course, so I just knew I had to incorporate a fun little flower somewhere on my card. While the colors are a bit fallish, I think the bright flower gives this card enough whimsy to wish someone special a happy spring or summer day.

I used The Green Stack from DCWV to create this card; and to tell you the truth, I was very glad to be able to use a few pages out of this paper pad because I’ve owned it for a very long time and really haven’t used it much (for whatever reason).

I opted not to put a sentiment on the front and just used the flower for that element from the sketch because I was afraid it would be too cluttered. The effect is simple, but I think it’s kind of cute. Along with an added banner element, a staple and some inking around the edges, this card is complete!

Free St. Patrick Digital Stamps

St. Patrick’s Day is only a few days away and I have been crafting some cute Irish inspired cards for just the occasion. Unfortunately as I started creating with greens and gold, I quickly discovered that I didn’t have a single St. Patty appropriate stamp or sticker to my name. So with necessity being the mother of invention and all that, I decided to create my own set of digital circle stamps. . . and “lucky” for you (yes, that’s a St. Patty’s pun), I’m sharing my whole sheet of digis with my readers. The pdf file includes eight sayings that should fit in a 1.75 or 2 inch circle punch. You can also get creative with them in other ways, so feel free to download and craft away your day. When a Non-Plan Comes Together

Yes, I’ve been creative. Yesterday as I finished the sketch challenge card, I got inspired. While I didn’t really care for the design of the challenge card, I did like aspects of it and the colors reminded me of another card I started (but never completed) a couple of weeks ago for a different challenge site.

As I looked at all the papers in my Family Ties paper pad by Pebbles, I noticed that they coordinated with a large stamp I had already colored. In fact, as I started assembling this new design, I was amazed at how cohesive everything looked. I love it when a non-plan comes together! The polka dot paper did come from a different paper collection, but other than that I used my Family Ties. With the addition of some green brads and orange ribbon, this card was complete. . . and I like it better than the inspiration.
