It seems like I’m often in need of baby cards these days and I just don’t have much of a stash for this all-important event, so when Cards in Envy posted their cheers challenge for the week I decided to create a congrats card just for some lucky parent to be. I decided to make the card gender neutral by using some tangerine pink, blues and yellows, because I don’t have a looking glass for this sort of thing (if I did, I’m sure I would be rich).
All the papers for this card, except the yellow balloon, came from the DCWV Sky’s the Limit paper pack and I inked all the edges in brown to create definition. The elephant die came from a cute set I purchased at The Scrapbook Expo in July and the balloons are simply a circle punch. I popped up the heart and yellow balloon just a bit for some interest and glued on twine for strings.
It’s a very simple card, but I think it turned out pretty cute. I can’t wait to see who turns up pregnant next!!
Awe!! This elephant is so cute and his ear is heart-shaped!? Adorable! Its perfect for our Cards in Envy challenge. Thanks for joining us!

Aw, such a sweet card! It’ll be perfect for the next baby shower you’ll need to attend. I love the mix of pattern papers and the soft inking around the edges. Thanks for playing with us over at Cards in Envy!
