My mom has finally embarked on a big home remodel that called for a complete gut job of her kitchen, dining room and living spaces. I know she is super excited about the final product, but the process will undoubtedly grow tiresome before it’s finished. In preparation for this project, I helped jumpstart her garage cleanout, so that she could move everything that was staying into her garage for storage. Whew, we pulled out a lot of junk, forgotten items and several fun things that just needed a new home. Even after a hot day of hard work, I couldn’t help but create a little something with a few of our discoveries.
The Making of the Lost Mummy
My son requested an escape room party for his 10th birthday, so I quickly agreed knowing that our city is full of these fun little amusements; unfortunately, I couldn’t locate a room that seemed age appropriate so I went from what would have been an easy outing to a full-commitment, decked out ancient Egyptian Lost Mummy tomb in our home office.
From My Fall Porch
Well Halloween is finally here, so I thought it was about time I shared a glimpse of this year’s fall porch decor. It has been such an odd fall with its share of up and down temps (and an early snow fall), which has kept me jumping to save my plants from freezing. We carved up our jack o’ lantern last night and added it to the mix, so I hope we have at least a few trick or treaters visit our cozy home.
