My son requested an escape room party for his 10th birthday, so I quickly agreed knowing that our city is full of these fun little amusements; unfortunately, I couldn’t locate a room that seemed age appropriate so I went from what would have been an easy outing to a full-commitment, decked out ancient Egyptian Lost Mummy tomb in our home office.

Creating a Birthday Balloon Bonanza
My baby boy turned double digits last week, so his dad and I created a balloon bonanza to celebrate his special day. Armed with a small helium tank and my husband’s lungs we created a whole hallway full of festiveness to great our little man on his birthday.
Saturday Sparks — Creative Ways to Say Thanks
If you are like me and so many other Americans in this country, you will be spending a bit of time surrounded by lots of family (for better or worse) in the very near future. Since Thanksgiving is not adorned with loads of decorations and gift giving, I always think it is nice to somehow bring a touch of specialness to the occasion (as if all that yummy food wasn’t special enough).
